About Me
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with 14 years of diverse experience in mental health and addictions. My career has included roles in withdrawal management, residential addiction treatment, outpatient counselling, crisis intervention, and community mental health. I specialize in working with ADHDers and Autistic folks, the LGBT2SQIA+ community, weight-inclusive disordered eating, body image, and sensory eating differences, along with those navigating chronic illness, menopause, and grief/trauma.
As a supervisor, I integrate evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT-informed practices, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic approaches. My supervision approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, anti-oppressive frameworks, and strengths-based practice, tailored to help therapists refine their skills and build confidence.
Supervision Frameworks I Use
· Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision: A reflective framework that examines therapy from multiple perspectives, including client context, therapist interventions, and systemic influences.
· Strengths-Based Practice: Building on existing skills and addressing growth areas constructively.
· Trauma-Informed Supervision: Acknowledging the emotional impact of therapy and promoting wellness.
· Intersectional Feminist & Anti-Oppressive Frameworks: Encouraging critical reflection on power, privilege, and systemic barriers.
· Postmodernist & Constructivist Approaches: Emphasizing collaboration, adaptability, and curiosity in supervision.
Why Choose Me as Your Supervisor
· Trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and strengths-based approach.
· Expertise in neurodivergence, eating disorders, mental health, and systemic barriers.
· Flexible virtual sessions are available across Ontario.
· Focus on helping you develop an ethical and sustainable practice.
