Who I See
12+ for individual online individual and family therapy sessions across Ontario.
Who I am
I am a cisgender woman who identifies as LGBT2SQ+, bigger-bodied and an ADHDer. As the eldest in my family, I’ve experienced firsthand the complexities of navigating both diagnosis and self-acceptance. My lived experience has shaped my deep connection to the neurodivergent and LGBT2SQ+ communities—not just personally but also through the experiences of my loved ones. These connections fuel my passion for providing affirming, compassionate support that truly honours the unique journeys of those I work with.

MY THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and inclusivity. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued, one that honours your lived experiences and allows for meaningful self-exploration. Therapy should be a collaborative process, adapting to your unique needs and meeting you wherever you are in your journey.
I focus on highlighting your inherent strengths while fostering self-awareness and emotional regulation skills. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental, affirming environment that empowers you to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.

ECLECTIC MODALITIES USED
My approach is eclectic, drawing from a range of therapeutic methods to best support your unique needs and experiences. I integrate Strength-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) while ensuring these approaches are adapted to be affirming and accessible.
I recognize that many traditional therapy models were not designed with intersectionally marginalized groups in mind. Because of this, I am intentional about reshaping these frameworks in a way that acknowledges the impact of systemic oppression and validates your lived experiences. My goal is to provide a therapeutic space that empowers you while respecting your individual identity, strengths, and healing journey.

CAREER PATH
My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by both personal and professional experiences. As a cisgender, bigger-bodied woman and ADHDer, I have encountered challenges that have deepened my empathy and informed my holistic approach to therapy. Growing up as the eldest child in a neurodivergent and LGBT2SQ+ family gave me firsthand insight into the struggles and triumphs that come with mental health diagnoses, self-discovery, and embracing one’s identity.
My professional experience spans community mental health settings, where I have developed a broad skill set and a deep appreciation for the complexities of human experience. I stay engaged with continuing education to ensure I provide the most up-to-date, affirming, and effective support. I am passionate about connecting with clients from diverse backgrounds and creating a space where they feel safe, valued, and empowered to express their authentic selves.
My own journey in setting personal boundaries, navigating self-worth, and challenging societal expectations has profoundly influenced my therapeutic approach. I believe healing happens in a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we can explore life’s complexities together.
